Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment in Warrenton, VA. ARDMS ABD certification is required, with GYN, RVT, and OB certifications a plus.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of staff sonographer experience in general diagnostic ultrasound, completion of an accredited program, and ARDMS ABD board certification. MindRay/GE equipment and Meditech EHR are used on shift 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with every other weekend and two

• Call requirements include 2 weeknights per week, with weekend call strongly appreciated.
• Shift is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and every other weekend required.
• Lodging provided for call nights.

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 5+ years of general diagnostic ultrasound experience and ARDMS ABD certification for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment.

Requirements

• ARDMS ABD certification required; GYN, RVT, and OB certifications a plus
• License required if applicable
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a staff sonographer in general diagnostic ultrasound
• Completion of an accredited sonography program with board certification through ARDMS with ABD
• HCA/LifePoint experience preferred
• MindRay equipment experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting within the Main Diagnostic/Ultrasound department
• Patient population is mostly geriatric and adult with very limited pediatric workload
• Common procedures include abdominal imaging, OB biophysical profiles, and thyroid studies
• Equipment used includes Mindray Resona 7 and GE Fortis ultrasound systems
• Meditech EHR system used
• Shift is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with every other weekend required
• Call requirements include 2 weeknights per week, with weekend call strongly appreciated
• No floating required
• Perform abdominal imaging, OB biophysical profiles, and thyroid ultrasounds
• Join a tight-knit, community hospital crew in a collaborative environment
• Lodging provided for call nights
• Scrub color required is black or gray; attire may not display branding from another health system or hospital
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full time
• Permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility
