We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Baltimore, MD. The right US Tech must have at least 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a US Tech, you will be responsible for operating ultrasound machines, ensuring accurate images, and passing them to physicians for interpretation. US Techs also prepare and care for patients undergoing ultrasound testing.

Tasks

  • Educate patients and/or their families regarding procedures performed
  • Operate sonographic equipment to identify and observe areas of concern
  • Prepare exam rooms and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and biopsies
  • Report abnormalities requiring immediate attention
  • Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
  • Conduct scans and document results in reports
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Utilize the McKesson PACS system

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Must have BLS, ARDMS National Certification, and state-specific licensing if required
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology

Additional Certifications: ARDMS (OB/GYN), BLS, and possibly others before starting

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend to be determined. Job ID and other details are subject to confirmation.
