Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel assignment in San Angelo, TX. The role requires 1 year of ultrasound experience, BLS, and ARDMS certifications. You will operate ultrasound equipment, prepare exams, and assist radiologists with procedures.

This travel position runs 13 weeks, 36 hours/week, with 12-hour days. The job includes educating patients, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate reports and patient records.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed.

• Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff.
• Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure.
• Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.

We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in San Angelo, TX. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a US Tech, you will be responsible for the use of the ultrasound machine and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. US Techs are also responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing ultrasound testing.

Tasks

As a US Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

US Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. US Techs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
