Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) for a 13-week travel assignment in Farmington, CT. The Gen/Vascular specialty requires high-frequency ultrasound imaging and patient preparation for examinations.

As part of our clinical team, you will prep patients, perform scans, and analyze sonograms for diagnostic purposes, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care and maintain safety standards throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program.
• Minimum of one year of recent ultrasound experience.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Valid Ultrasound license per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans.
• Prepare and position patient to ensure accurate imaging and comfort.
• Perform clinical ultrasound examinations for general and vascular studies.
• Evaluate images for clarity and accuracy.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment for safety and functionality.
• Apply technical and critical thinking to perform procedures effectively.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
