Job description

You bring the skills. We bring the adventure.

About the Role

Do you get a thrill from transforming spaces and making things just right? Are you the kind of person who takes pride in your craft, enjoys solving problems on the fly, and can rock a miter saw like nobody’s business? We want you on our team!

As a Travel Trim Carpenter with Penmarc Inspired Spaces, you won’t just be building shelves—you’ll be building experiences. From closets to cabinetry, trim to touch-ups, your work will help bring order and inspiration to homes and lives. You’ll be our boots on the ground, the calm in the chaos, and the finishing touch in every space.

This isn’t just a job—it’s a mission. We believe craftsmanship and customer service go hand in hand, and your role will be key in delivering both.

Where You'll Go
  • Expect to hit the road! Approximately 50–60% of your time will be spent traveling outside your local market.

  • Travel is company-paid, and adventures are guaranteed.

Is This You?

Take our (unofficial) psychometric snapshot—if most of these feel like you, keep reading!

You’re a natural problem solver who thrives when things get tricky.
You love checklists, staying organized, and ticking off tasks like a boss.
You’re proud of your craftsmanship and never settle for “just okay.”
You bring a positive attitude and contagious energy, even before your first coffee.
You’re all about teamwork, communication, and a “we before me” mentality.
You understand that retail/construction is fast-paced, and you're ready to roll with it.
You lead by example and respect every space you walk into.

Your Day-to-Day
  • Install custom components—closets, cabinetry, trim, millwork—you name it.

  • Patch, paint, and perfect your way through renovations and repairs.

  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment (your future self will thank you).

  • Keep customers in the loop with a warm, professional presence.

  • Track your progress, report field issues, and help us improve future installs.

  • Collaborate with the scheduling team and stay flexible as projects evolve.

What You Bring to the Table
  • 3+ years of construction or carpentry experience preferred.

  • Familiar with hand tools, power tools, and all the stuff in between.

  • Comfort with reading blueprints and layouts.

  • Experience in millwork, cabinetry, trim, closet installation, or renovations.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and move confidently in various work environments.

  • Working knowledge of safety best practices (OSHA or RRP Certification is a bonus—or get certified with us!).

  • A knack for juggling tasks and staying cool under pressure.
