Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Telemetry RN for a travel nursing assignment in Chesapeake, VA. This 13-week travel position requires Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience, 48 hours per week, with 12-hour night shifts. ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications preferred; travel nurses may need extra certifications before starting.

The Telemetry RN will monitor vital signs, interpret data, and react to abnormal readings. This role supports patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• Telemetry/Med Surg RN license and credentials required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIH may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry monitoring and bedside care.
• Monitor and interpret patient data and electronic displays.
• Identify irregular telemetry readings and escalate as needed.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitor data and clinical signs.
• Move and assist patients; may lift up to 50 pounds.
