Job summary
GHR Healthcare seeks a Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Kankakee, IL. The role covers adult telemetry patients on 12-hour day shifts, with care for cardiac and complex medical conditions. You will chart in EPIC and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
The position requires active IL RN licensure, at least 1 year in acute care/telemetry, and BLS certification. You’ll float to medical/surgical units as needed and enjoy a supportive, travel-friendly work
Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license
- Minimum 1 year of acute-care/telemetry experience
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with EPIC EHR documentation
- Able to float to medical/surgical units as needed
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for telemetry patients with cardiac or complex medical needs.
- Continuously assess patient conditions and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and coordinate with telemetry monitoring staff.
- Care for patients recovering from cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Administer and monitor prescribed therapies per order.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in EPIC.
- Coordinate care with providers and interdisciplinary team.
- Monitors nurse-to-patient ratios and ensures safe care.
