Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Telemetry RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Simi Valley, CA. You will provide comprehensive cardiac monitoring and patient care in a telemetry unit, working 12-hour night shifts across a 36-hour weekly schedule. This role requires one year of telemetry experience, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Telemetry RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification.
• Preferred PCCN Certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• Other certifications and licenses may be required.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and other telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments focusing on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physician during cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observes patient and notifies supervisor or physician of status.
• Responds to life-saving situations per cardiac protocols.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment.
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Maintains confidentiality of patients and client.
• Performs other duties as assigned; adheres to safety protocols.
