Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Austin, Texas. The assignment is 13 weeks long with 36 hours per week and 12-hour night shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and hold ACLS, BLS and NIH certifications. The PCU travel nurse will monitor cardiac patients and deliver care in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings; insert catheters; start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and interpret patient monitors and respond to changes.
• Respond to adverse events and titrate care as needed.
