Job summary

Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week telemetry assignment in Brockton, MA. The role offers 36 guaranteed hours per week, 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.), and every-other weekend/holiday coverage in a hospital telemetry unit.

Ideal candidates hold MA RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and 2+ years of acute care telemetry experience with Meditech and EPIC proficiency. Local candidates within 50 miles may qualify for a $10/hour lower local rate.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
• 2+ years of recent acute care experience with telemetry; Meditech IVs; and EPIC experience.
• Ability to independently read telemetry strips and pass an on-site exam on Day 1 with 84% or better (2 attempts).
• Willingness to adapt quickly to different units; float experience 3–5 years preferred (able to work across up to 5 MedSurg/Tele units).

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and respond to alarms; trend and interpret telemetry strips to identify changes in patient status.
• Administer medications and IV therapies per orders, and document administration in the EMR.
• Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care across units and ensure safe patient transitions.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR and ensure compliance with unit protocols.
• Adapt to multiple Telemetry/MedSurg units as needed and participate in unit handoffs and patient reassignments.
