ARMStaffing is seeking a travel RN for Med Surg/Telemetry in Greensburg, PA. The RN will provide comprehensive care in a medical/surgical unit with a 6:1 patient ratio, supporting patient safety and satisfaction.

Shifts are 12 hours, rotating nights and days, totaling 36 hours per week on a travel contract. This role requires PA or compact RN licensure, BLS/ACLS certifications, and Cerner experience.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive care for patients in a medical/surgical unit. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 6 patients per nurse, ensuring high-quality care is maintained with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and manage care for diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
• Provide wound care and management, including wound vacs and surgical drains.
• Manage patient education and support discharge planning.
• Observing and managing patient conditions, including vital signs and overall well-being.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active PA or Compact RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Cerner charting system required.
• Previous charge experience and patient management skills are preferred.
