American Traveler is seeking a Travel Telemetry RN for the Cardiovascular Unit in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This 13-week travel assignment features a 48-hour work week with 12-hour day shifts, starting 01/12/2026, in a 54-bed cardiac telemetry unit with remote monitoring.

Applicants must hold an MI RN license and current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, with at least 1 year of telemetry or cardiac nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Active MI RN license required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year recent telemetry or relevant cardiac nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 54-bed cardiac telemetry unit in a hospital setting.
• Majority of patients are monitored via cardiac telemetry, with remote telemetry room monitoring.
• Patient population includes heart failure, heart attack (STEMI, NSTEMI), stroke, arrhythmias, chest pain, and occasional medical overflow.
• Day shift schedule with 4x12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30.
• Required to work every other weekend.
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
• Block scheduling attempts may be accommodated but are not guaranteed.
• No on-call responsibility.
• PCA support is provided on the unit.
• Nurses care for a range of cardiac and stroke patients requiring close telemetry monitoring, including management of cardiac drips.
• Overflow medical patients may be assigned as needed.
• Caribbean Blue scrubs are required.
• First-time travelers are accepted for this contract.
