Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center in Lee's Summit, Missouri is seeking a Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 13-week onsite contract starting 9/30/2026. Unit is Medical/Surgical with 36 beds and specific telemetry requirements.

Shifts are night, 12 hours, 3 days per week with 48 hours guaranteed and a start date of 12/14. Certifications include ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale; experience with Meditech is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have ACLS, BLS, Basic Dysrhythmia, NIH Stroke Scale certification.
• Onsite telemetry nursing on Medical/Surgical unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry nursing care on Medical/Surgical unit.
• Adhere to unit scheduling and staffing requirements.
• Maintain patient experience with bedside shifts and frequent rounds.

• Patient Ratios : 1:6 day shift and night shift
• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Technician for every 10-12 patients
• Type of equipment : Dynamap (WelchAllyn); Telemetry with screen at the nurses station; Alaris IV pumps;
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Scheduling requirements: Every other weekend
• Floating policy: First to float (ortho or telemetry unit – telemetry dependent on competencies)
• Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report, hourly safety rounds with patients, AIDET, personal connection with patients.
