Job summary

Transdev is seeking a Maintenance Manager in the United States. The role involves overseeing regional maintenance performance, implementing improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

You will train staff, review KPI and financial data, and act as a stand-in for the Maintenance Manager when vacancies occur. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree or higher, ASE Master certification, strong leadership, and a track record in transportation maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • ASE Master certified or equivalent advanced technical training.
  • Five years’ proven experience in passenger transportation or similar maintenance management.
  • Strong knowledge of KPI, financial statements, and operating metrics.
  • Ability to work with HR systems and tools.
  • Flexible schedule and a safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, evaluate, and improve regional maintenance performance.
  • Develop action plans to maximize operational efficiencies.
  • FIll in as Maintenance Manager when needed and assist with hiring.
  • Train and supervise technicians and managers on company requirements.
  • Review KPI and financial reports to identify issues.
  • Support start-ups and shutdowns as needed.
  • Assist with environmental program compliance.
  • Conduct annual vehicle audits across locations in the region.
  • Track maintenance deficiencies and report findings to leadership.
  • Provide performance feedback to General Managers and regional staff.

Job description

Travel Tech works closely with locations, regions, and corporate management teams to provide comprehensive maintenance support and services as a backup to the Maintenance Manager when operational needs require. The position also involves ensuring a safe environment exists and that all maintenance activities comply with State, Federal, and Company requirements.

Benefits include:
  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitors, evaluates, and takes corrective action for improved performance of maintenance operations within region.

  • Examines and evaluates current operations to develop action plans and strategies to maximize operational efficiencies.

  • Fills in as Maintenance Manager when vacancies occur and assist General Managers with hiring new Maintenance Managers.

  • Trains and monitors new and current technicians and Maintenance Manager in company requirements.

  • Reviews KPI, and financial reports to identify problems/ challenge areas.

  • Participates in start-ups and shutdowns as necessary.

  • Assists with compliance regarding all environmental programs.

  • Conducts annual vehicle audits for all locations in region.

  • Monitors completion of maintenance related deficiencies reported on corporate audits.

  • Provides feedback to General Managers and Region Staff as to the performance of maintenance managers in region

  • Performs other duties and special projects assigned by the Director of Maintenance or RVP.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • ASE Master certified

  • Advance technical training.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Five years’ proven experience in passenger transportation or comparable service industry maintenance management.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of various performance indicators including KPI, Octave and financial statements.

  • Independent thinking skills with high levels of prioritization skills.

  • Excellent leadership, customer relations, and interpersonal skills to communicate and cooperate with clients and other departments.

  • Knowledge of HR systems and tools.

  • Flexible schedule
