Job summary

Transdev is seeking a Maintenance Manager in the Travel Tech division to oversee regional maintenance operations, drive efficiency, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role demands strong leadership, KPI analysis, and collaboration with General Managers to hire and develop a high-performing team across locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; ASE Master certified and advanced technical training are valued.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of five years’ proven experience in passenger transportation or comparable service industry maintenance management.
• Knowledge of KPI, Octave and financial statements.
• Strong leadership, HR and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, evaluates, and improves maintenance operations within the region.
• Develops action plans and strategies to maximize operational efficiencies.
• Fills in as Maintenance Manager when vacancies occur and assists with hiring.
• Trains and monitors technicians and managers in company requirements.
• Reviews KPI and financial reports to identify problems.
• Participates in start-ups and shutdowns as necessary.
• Supports environmental program compliance.
• Conducts annual vehicle audits for all locations in region.
• Provides feedback to General Managers and region staff on performance.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by leadership.

Job description

Travel Tech works closely with locations, regions, and corporate management teams to provide comprehensive maintenance support and services as a backup to the Maintenance Manager when operational needs require. The position also involves ensuring a safe environment exists and that all maintenance activities comply with State, Federal, and Company requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitors, evaluates, and takes corrective action for improved performance of maintenance operations within region.
• Examines and evaluates current operations to develop action plans and strategies to maximize operational efficiencies.
• Fills in as Maintenance Manager when vacancies occur and assist General Managers with hiring new Maintenance Managers.
• Trains and monitors new and current technicians and Maintenance Manager in company requirements.
• Reviews KPI, and financial reports to identify problems/ challenge areas.
• Participates in start-ups and shutdowns as necessary.
• Assists with compliance regarding all environmental programs.
• Conducts annual vehicle audits for all locations in region.
• Monitors completion of maintenance related deficiencies reported on corporate audits.
• Provides feedback to General Managers and Region Staff as to the performance of maintenance managers in region
• Performs other duties and special projects assigned by the Director of Maintenance or RVP.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• ASE Master certified
• Advance technical training.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Five years’ proven experience in passenger transportation or comparable service industry maintenance management.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various performance indicators including KPI, Octave and financial statements.
• Independent thinking skills with high levels of prioritization skills.
• Excellent leadership, customer relations, and interpersonal skills to communicate and cooperate with clients and other departments.
• Knowledge of HR systems and tools.
• Flexible schedule

• Valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

• The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
