Amex GBT is seeking a Team Leader to join the U.S. Military and Government team, delivering seamless travel management to federal clients. You will lead a team of travel consultants, coach performance, and drive service excellence around 24/7 operations.

The role requires extensive Sabre GDS experience, strong communication, and a proactive leadership style. This full-time position is based in the United States and offers opportunities within a global travel solutions provider.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as travel consultant.
• 4+ years in a customer service environment.
• Sabre GDS experience required.
• Experience issuing tickets and working Sabre queues preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of customer service satisfaction requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to motivate others.
• Creative, open-minded and adaptable.
• Desirable: Defense & Government, CMS, Avaya and Power Advantage.
• Hours: 24x7x365; willingness to work evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and coaching to a team of travel consultants.
• Drives change and employee engagement through effective communication.
• Use data to monitor counselors’ activity and trends to provide feedback.
• Coordinating and managing day-to-day work planning and scheduling.
• Organizing and executing daily work for staff availability.
• Work as part of a leadership team.
• Roles include coaching, training, performance reviews, CMS monitoring, payroll and attendance tracking.
