Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Surgical Technology is required.
• Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license is required.
• National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists is required.

Responsibilities

• Proficiency in surgical procedures and knowledge of equipment/instrumentation.
• Sterile field setup and maintenance.
• Proper use of instruments and devices; equipment safety checks.
• Specimen handling per department policy and emergency situation management.
• Assist with surgical procedures and support the surgical team to provide quality patient care.
