Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Surgical Technician for a travel assignment in Norfolk, VA. The role entails sterilizing surgical equipment, organizing instruments, and ensuring devices operate correctly. This position offers a 36-hour work week with weekly pay at $2110.

The role requires Surgical Technologist certification as per state/client requirements, with preference for at least one year of experience. Compliance with professional standards and CPR as applicable is expected.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per state and/or client requirement
• One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred (Tissue Processing Technologist – only)
• Degree in biology related field which includes a degree/certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsabilités

• The Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization of surgical equipment, arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly.
