Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc.-Allied is seeking a travel Surgical Technician for a 13-week assignment in New Bedford, MA. The role involves assisting surgeons in a high-volume OR, preparing sterile fields, and supporting turnover while ensuring patient safety and EPIC documentation.

Requires NBSTSA or NCCT certification and at least 2 years of Surgical Tech experience. Shifts are 8 hours, days, with 40 hours per week; weekend call is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Tech experience.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required.
• Experience with a broad range of specialties including general surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during a wide variety of procedures in a high-volume operating room environment.
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields, instruments, and surgical equipment.
• Support OR teams throughout procedures and room turnover.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to surgical protocols.
• Document and communicate effectively using EPIC.
