PEL/VIP is recruiting a travel Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) in an IL facility. The role requires level I trauma and ICU experience, handling post-surgical, open abdomen, and multi-system trauma patients, with proficiency in titrating pressors, sedation, paralytics, and insulin.

Shifts are 12 hours with 7 AM to 7:30 PM coverage.

Qualifications

• Active IL license or application process initiated.
• BLS (AHA) Certification.
• ACLS (AHA) Certification.
• Level I trauma experience.
• ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a level I trauma setting.
• Manage post-surgical, open abdomen, multi-system trauma, and endovascular patients.
• Titrate and manage drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and insulin.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, supervisors, and intensivists.
• Read and interpret patient monitor strips in coordination with monitor techs.

Floating Requirements: Yes, travelers may float to a lower level of care with a team of 3 patients in Stepdown or 5-6 in general med
