Job summary

PEL/VIP is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. The assignment requires 13 weeks at 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts in an acute care setting.

The ideal candidate will have Critical Care expertise, an active IL license (or ongoing application), and experience with ventilated patients, sedative titrations, and vasopressors. Travel pay and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in Critical Care nursing; ICU setting preferred.
• Ability to manage septic/critically ill patients and mechanical ventilation.
• Demonstrated proficiency with titrating sedatives and vasopressors.
• Familiarity with PEG/CVC care and tracheostomy care is a plus.
• Active IL license or pending licensure; BLS/ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care to ICU patients including sedated and ventilated individuals.
• Titrate drips such as Precedex, Propofol, and Levophed.
• Care for PEG tubes, CVC/PICC/Midline, and tracheostomies.
• Operate RT equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow.
• Participate in rotating holiday and weekend shifts.
• Possibility to float to MS unit as needed.

We are seeking an experienced RN specializing in Critical Care for a travel assignment in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing a range of critical conditions, including respiratory failure and cardiac patients, and will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate RT equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPap, and high flow
• Participate in rotating holiday and weekend shifts
• Possibility to float to MS unit as needed
