Job Summary

Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse (RN) position in a busy Level 1 Trauma hospital. This role involves providing care for patients undergoing complex surgeries such as liver and kidney transplants, vascular surgeries, ENT cancer procedures, abdominal surgeries, mastectomies, and other critical conditions. RNs will be working 12-hour days on a rotating schedule, with a focus on early recognition of patient change, critical thinking, and effective communication in a high-acuity environment.

• Position Description: The ICU Surgical unit cares for critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions, including ventilator management, CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, and titration of drips such as vasopressors and sedatives. • Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum 2 years of experience in ICU or surgical critical care; active license to practice as an RN; willingness to wait for license submission; no experience requirement specified otherwise.
