Job summary

Scott Humphrey Corporation seeks an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on luxury retail and premium commercial interior projects. The role focuses on delivering high-quality environments safely, on schedule, and within budget.

You will manage subcontractors, coordinate with project managers and designers, and ensure finishes meet luxury brand standards while maintaining strict quality control and OSHA-compliant site safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Experience leading luxury retail or premium interior projects.
• Proven ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, and quality control.
• Experience delivering occupied renovations and tenant improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations from mobilization to turnover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field staff.
• Oversee high-end interior build-outs and tenant improvements.
• Maintain project schedules via daily coordination meetings.
• Ensure finishes, millwork, fixtures, and lighting meet luxury standards.
• Coordinate with PMs, architects, designers, owners, and clients.
• Manage project docs: daily reports, RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, closeout.
• Maintain strict quality control and resolve field issues quickly.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations on site.

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to lead field operations on luxury retail and high-end commercial interior projects. This role is responsible for delivering premium retail environments with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day field operations from project mobilization through final turnover.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel.
• Oversee high-end interior build-outs, tenant improvements, renovations, and boutique retail projects.
• Maintain project schedules through daily coordination meetings and proactive planning.
• Ensure all finishes, millwork, fixtures, storefronts, lighting, and specialty installations meet luxury brand quality standards.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, architects, designers, owners, and client representatives throughout construction.
• Manage project documentation including daily reports, RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, and closeout.
• Maintain strict quality control while resolving field issues quickly and efficiently.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations while promoting a safe jobsite.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing commercial construction projects.
• Proven experience leading luxury retail, high-end retail, or premium commercial interior projects.
• Strong background managing subcontractors, schedules, quality control, and project coordination.
