Job summary

Tindall Corporation is a leading precast concrete manufacturer with multiple southeastern U.S. locations. This role involves performing all welding duties on erection sites, adhering to safety and quality standards, and supporting the erection crew with various duties.

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent as minimum education.

Responsibilities

• Follow Safety and Quality rules to maintain a safe site and product quality.
• Clean connection plates with chipping hammer and wire brush.
• Move ladder to locations for welding.
• Climb ladders with welding leads to connect panels with welds.
• Drill holes for red head bolts, install bolts and weld angles to foundation/panels.
• Tighten joints with hand wrench to improve weld connections.
• Weld haunch and base plates on site when needed.
• Weld connection plates on panels, beams, columns, and double tees as required.
• Assist erection crew with duties like grouting and positioning members.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.

Summary of Primary Functions

Performs all welding duties that are required on the erection site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.
• Cleans connection plates with chipping hammer and wire brush.
• Moves ladder to various locations for welding.
• Climbs up ladder, with welding leads, to extreme heights to connect panels together with a weld connection.
• Drills holes for red head bolts in foundation, installs red heads, bolts clip angle to foundation and welds angles to panel.
• Alleviates bad joints by using a hand wrench to pull the panel together to make the weld connection.
• Welds haunch and base plates on members at job site when required.
• Welds connection plates on panels, beams, columns, and double tees as needed.
• Helps erection crew with duties when available, such as grouting, positioning members, etc.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as directed by Supervisor.

Job Specifications or Qualifications

• Certificates, Licenses, Registration: Certified in AWS Positions: SMAW-3F and SMAW-4F, and a valid driver's license.
• Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
