Job summary

Superior Ind in the United States is seeking a skilled steel erector to perform erection and assembly of structural steel and related equipment on various project sites.

You will signal crane operators, weld or bolt components, and ensure accurate fitment while adhering to safety procedures. Applicants must be able to travel 100% and pass site safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to rig steel for crane and read and understand erection drawings.
• Ability to read and follow equipment manuals and checklists.
• Proficiency in working with bull pins, sleever bars, chain come alongs, and hammers; unload and stack prefabricated iron and steel.
• Comfort working at heights and manual dexterity to use tools and factory machines.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Erection and assembly of structural steel and equipment; lay out and set steel for cranes.
• Signal crane operators to lift and position steel, weld/bolt components, torch and drill holes for fitment.
• Identify and install hardware, ensure proper fit, align motor sheaves and install drive belts.
• Safe operation of tools and equipment; follow site safety procedures.
• 100% travel required; perform other duties as assigned.
