Job summary

You will prepare surfaces, operate welding machines, monitor parameters, and inspect weld quality to meet specifications. Travel may be required, with an emphasis on independent as well as team work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to travel.
• 1-2 years of experience as a welder or welder helper.
• Proficient in arc welding, gas welding, and resistance welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of welding safety procedures and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Weld metal parts together according to blueprints or specifications.
• Prepare surfaces for welding by grinding, cleaning, and applying flux or filler metal.
• Operate welding machines, such as arc welders, gas welders, and resistance welders.
• Monitor welding parameters, such as temperature and current.
• Inspect welds to ensure they are of high quality and meet specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
