Advatix LATAM has an opening for a Travel Instrument Technician (Sterile Processing) in Canton, GA. The role focuses on decontaminating, inspecting, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments while upholding infection prevention and patient safety standards.

This 13-week contract offers an 8-hour evening shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Requirements include 2 years of sterile processing experience, knowledge of sterilization methods, and HSPA certification;

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing/Instrument Technician experience
• Experience reprocessing surgical instruments
• HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) certification

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments
• Operate sterilization equipment and monitor sterilization cycles
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and damage
• Prepare surgical instrument trays according to procedure requirements
• Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and instruments
• Follow infection prevention and sterile processing standards
• Document sterilization records accurately
• Collaborate with operating room staff to ensure instrument availability
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Comply with facility safety and quality standards
