The Central Service Technician will be responsible for the decontamination, preparation, high-level disinfection, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments, medical devices and equipment required for patient care.

The ideal candidate is meticulous, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable about infection control protocols and standards.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, assemble, sterilize, and store procedure trays, instruments, equipment and supplies according to prescribed procedures and aseptic technique
• Inspect instruments to ensure all required items are available for surgery
• Test and maintain sterilization equipment to ensure its working properly
• Maintain accurate sterilization and quality assurance records
• Report any equipment or supply issues to the supervisor
• Manage inventory and ensure supplies are ordered as necessary
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures
