Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel assignment in Madison, Wisconsin. This position features a 12-hour night shift in a Step-down unit with 36 hours per week.

Requirements include an active RN license, a nursing degree from an accredited program, BLS certification and 18 months of recent Acute Care PCU/Step-down experience. Other facility-driven requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN License.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS Certifications.
• Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care PCU/Step-down setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and documents nursing diagnoses.
• Documents the plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected outcomes, and interventions.
• Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
