Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The role requires 2+ years of RN experience, valid licensure with BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications, and a 90%+ orientation exam score.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

The RN will work in a fast-paced environment, managing complex patient needs in a step down care setting.

Job Details

• Position Description: The RN will be responsible for caring for adult patients in a step down unit, with patient diagnoses including heart failure, atrial fibrillation, respiratory distress, and stroke. The role involves managing titratable and set rate drips such as Cardizem, amiodarone, and nitro, along with troubleshooting CPAP and interpreting telemetry strips. The RN will work cyclic shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The unit maintains a Nurse to Patient Ratio of 1:4, with nurse aides and patient care techs available to support care. The RN will also respond to emergencies and work collaboratively with the charge nurse, who takes full patient assignments, and may float to ICU if experienced and appropriate.
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure, current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, minimum of 2 years of related nursing experience, and a valid driver's license. Candidates must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in step down or critical care units, proficiency in telemetry interpretation, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Schedule: Night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week.
