Job summary

Suburban Steel Supply, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Steel Installer to work in Columbus and surrounding areas. This travel role involves installing structural, ornamental, and miscellaneous steel on commercial and residential projects, with welding in the field as needed.

You will operate a variety of tools and rigging while maintaining safety and quality through each stage of construction, traveling to multiple job sites as required by the project schedule.

Qualifications

• Field experience erecting or installing steel.
• Stick (SMAW) welding ability for field work.
• Willing to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Install structural, miscellaneous, and ornamental steel on job sites.
• Work on-site through construction stages, reading the job and setting steel safely.
• Run a wide range of tools, equipment, and rigging to complete each install.
• Weld in the field when required, primarily SMAW.
