Job summary

American Traveler, LLC seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP for a long-term care facility in Buffalo, MO. You will screen, evaluate, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders, deliver 30-minute sessions, and participate in group therapy as available.

A strong credential set includes ASHA certification, active state licensure, MO license if required, and a preference for 3 years of CCC experience; new grads with Level II clinical experience are

Qualifications

• Active CCC-SLP certification required.
• ASHA certification and state licensure must be active.
• MO state license required if applicable.
• Compact license accepted.
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience in LTC/SNF settings.
• New graduates eligible with Level II clinical experience.
• LTC/SNF setting experience required.
• Three years of active CCC preferred.
• One professional reference required.

Responsibilities

• Long-term care/skilled nursing facility setting.
• Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts.
• Flexible start times between 6AM and 10AM with coordination with Director of Rehabilitation.
• No weekend work unless making up holiday hours.
• Typical caseload of 10-14 patients per day.
• 30-minute treatment sessions.
• Group therapy offered at the facility.
• Dedicated device for electronic documentation.
• Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders.
• Develop and adjust individualized plans of care based on progress.
• Utilize standardized assessments to support interventions.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers.
• Communicate regularly with supervisor and interdisciplinary team.
• Complete discharge summaries per regulatory requirements.
• Document all treatment minutes and clinical information.
• Participate in meetings and trainings.
• Attend required trainings and in-services.
• Obtain DME or supplies per requirements.
• Supervise CFYs or student SLPs as needed.
• Adhere to ASHA/state acts and ethics.
• Up to 5 days of time off may be accommodated.

• Document all treatment minutes and clinical information in the electronic documentation system
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
• Attend facility and company required trainings and in-services
• Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements
• Supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed
• Adhere to ASHA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards
• Up to 5 days of requested time off may be accommodated
