Preferred Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Portsmouth, VA. This SLP will provide pediatric speech therapy and related services within the school district, with a focus on helping students achieve educational progress.

Requirements include an active state SLP license, current BLS/CPR certification, and at least 6 months of SLP experience within the last five years. The role involves 40 hours per week and an 8-hour shift in a school setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Recognize indications and contradictions to treatment, modify treatment programs, and be familiar with normal and abnormal responses.
• Instruct student/family as needed, adapt conventional speech therapy techniques to meet their needs.
• Document concisely, accurately, and legibly all appropriate charting and paperwork.
• Follow ASHA guidelines for ethical and high-quality job performance.
