Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Travel Speech Language Pathologist in San Antonio, TX for an acute care assignment. The SLP will evaluate and plan care for diverse patient populations and provide therapy over 13 weeks, 40 hours per week.

Candidates should have ASHA-SLP certification, BLS, and state licensure, with 6 months experience; 1 year preferred. The role involves hands-on therapy, documentation, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of experience; 1 year preferred.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP national certification and state licensure.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods and perform therapy.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
• Perform screenings for voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following guidelines.
