American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a Long Term Acute Care setting in Texas. This travel assignment covers a 75-bed facility with a Speech Language Pathology unit, day shifts, and no on-call responsibilities.

Candidates must hold TX licensure or compact license and ASHA CCC-SLP certification, with at least 1 year of SLP experience in LTC or rehab. New grads with Level II clinical experience may be considered; CCC with 3 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Active TX State licensure or compact license required
• Active ASHA CCC-SLP certification required
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required
• New grads considered if Level II clinical experience obtained
• 3 years of experience holding an active CCC preferred
• One professional reference required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers
• Communicate patient progress and treatment plans with supervisors and care team
• Complete discharge summaries and accurate documentation in the electronic system
• Attend required meetings such as care conferences and rehab meetings
• Participate in trainings and in-services
• Obtain necessary DME or supplies per guidelines
• Supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed
• Adhere to ASHA and state codes of conduct and ethics
