Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a Travel assignment in Mound City, Missouri. The position is in a Long Term Care setting, 40 hours per week, with 8‑hour days on weekdays. Start date Oct 5, 2026, for 13 weeks, with potential for continuation.

CCC certification and MO or compact licensure are required. Typical caseload is 10–14 patients per day, with 30‑minute sessions, and no weekend on‑call duties unless a holiday falls on a weekend.

Qualifications

• CCC certification required
• 1 year of SLP experience required
• New graduates accepted if Level II clinical experience
• LTC or Rehab setting experience required

Responsibilities

• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
• Develop and adjust plans of care based on patient progress and treatment outcomes
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Communicate patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans with supervisors and healthcare team members
• Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings
• Attend facility and company required trainings and in-services
• Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical requirements
• May supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists
• Adhere to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics standards
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
