Job description

BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a Full-Time Travel SLP position. This Travel Speech Language Pathologist will support our Maryland Visits Division by providing home health services to adult and geriatric clients on a per visits basis across various offices in the area.

This full-time position requires daytime availability, with a Monday through Friday schedule. No weekends, holidays, or on-call duties are required. Assignments are based on divisional needs and may be in the following service areas:

• Montgomery County
• Frederick County
• Carroll County
• Howard County
• Washington County

Home health experience is required. Start of Care/OASIS experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Make home visits to clients in designated geographic areas.
2. Perform evaluations to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
3. Develop and revise treatment plans based on evaluations, physician's orders, and goals.
4. Participate in multidisciplinary care planning.
5. Educate patients and their families on rehabilitative activities to promote health and independence.
6. Document all observations and interventions accurately using electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

1. Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in MD.
2. Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or equivalent educational and work experience, with certification exam pending or in progress.
3. Strong computer skills; experience with EMR preferred.
