Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 12-week travel assignment in Dallas, TX. The role delivers evaluations and plans of care for diverse patient populations in the acute care setting. Immediate start with 40 hours per week, days, 8-hour shifts.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of SLP experience (6 months may be considered for exceptional backgrounds), BLS, and ASHA SLP certification with state licensure. Travel duties and tax-free stipends apply.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of SLP experience; 6 months may be accepted for exceptional candidates.
• BLS and ASHA-SLP certification with state license required.
• Travel assignment in acute care setting.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans for diverse patient populations.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress to families, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide documentation following state and insurance guidelines.
