Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Speech Language Pathologist for an 13-week assignment in Albuquerque, NM. The SLP will assess, treat, and plan care for patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting. The role requires prior experience, ASHA SLP certification, and BLS, with state licensure.

40 hours/week, days, 8-hour shifts. New grads are encouraged to apply, and the package includes a tax-free stipend and 40-hour work weeks.

Qualifications

• SLP with 1 year of experience; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered.
• BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state licensing are required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and understand medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create individualized treatment and therapy plans.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress and current status to applicable parties (family, teachers, medical staff).
• Provide timely documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
