Job summary

TotalMed Allied has an immediate travel opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist in Millsboro, Delaware. This 13‑week assignment offers 30 hours per week, with 10‑hour shifts during the days.

The role requires a valid BLS, ASHA-SLP certification, and state licensing, with 1 year of experience preferred but 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates. The SLP will evaluate patients in the acute care setting, develop plans of care, and educate patients and families about speech,

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience required; new grads may apply.
• BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state licensing required.
• Ability to stand/walk long periods; move and bend as needed.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create individualized treatment and therapy plans.
• Perform screenings for voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress to family, teachers, or medical staff.
• Document progress per state/insurance guidelines.
