Job summary

TotalMed Allied has an immediate travel opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist in Millsboro, Delaware. This 13‑week assignment offers 30 hours per week, with 10‑hour shifts during the days.

The role requires a valid BLS, ASHA-SLP certification, and state licensing, with 1 year of experience preferred but 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates. The SLP will evaluate patients in the acute care setting, develop plans of care, and educate patients and families about speech,

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Millsboro, DE. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements. As an SLP, you will be responsible for assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.

Tasks

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

• Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
• SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• , 1 Year* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
