American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist with at least 1 year of acute care experience and stroke experience for a Magnet-designated acute care hospital.

Responsibilities include dysphagia management, bedside swallow evaluations, and FEES/ MBSImp interpretations as needed. Epic EMR experience and BLS certification are required; CA license is needed or submission proof. Day shift with 4x10s and some weekend work, no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required.
• Stroke experience required.
• Must be able to perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• CA state license required (license required if applicable).

Responsabilités

• Acute care hospital setting within the Speech-Language Pathology department, Magnet-designated facility with 426 staffed beds.
• Sees 8-10 adult and geriatric patients per day.
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Works 2 weekend shifts per month (Saturday-Sunday).
• May float to sister facilities nearby; no on-call requirements.
• Epic EMR used for charting.
• Responsibilities include dysphagia management, bedside swallow evaluations, diet modifications.
• Conducts and interprets Modified Barium Swallow Studies and may conduct FEES.
• Provides care for patients with CVA, dysphagia, dysarthria, TBI, voice disorders, and tracheostomy/ventilator-dependent patients.
• Utilizes adaptive equipment and provides patient/family education.
