Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Travel Speech Language Pathologist for a Gainesville, FL assignment. The role requires 6 months+ experience, BLS, and ASHA-SLP certification with state licensing.

Duties include evaluating and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders in an acute care setting, with a focus on plan of care and family education. The position offers 40 hours weekly, 8-hour shifts, 8 weeks duration, and travel employment.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months+ experience; exceptional candidates may have 6 months.
• BLS certification and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state licensing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans for diverse patient populations.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress to appropriate parties and document per guidelines.
• Provide timely documentation following state/insurance guidelines.
