Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Rome, Georgia. The role requires 1 year of experience, with six months acceptable for exceptional candidates, and includes 40 hours per week, a travel-focused schedule, and a tax-free stipend. The SLP will assess and treat speech, voice, and swallowing disorders in acute care settings.

Required certifications include BLS, ASHA-SLP National Certification, and state licensing. New grads are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience required; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months may be accepted.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Able to stand/walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
• New grads are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress to appropriate parties and document according to guidelines.
