Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require treatment for speech, hearing, and/or language deficits. The SLP will teach patients how to make sounds, improve voice, or increase oral or written language skills, and will provide strategies to strengthen swallowing function.

• Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, plan, evaluate and modify care to meet therapy goals.
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills, enabling them to fulfill educational, vocational, and social roles.

Qualifications

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist/SLP or a pending application for licensure.
