Job summary

Preferred Healthcare Staffing seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for an acute care facility in Daly City, CA. This travel assignment runs 13 weeks, with 40 hours per week and 8-hour shifts, starting ASAP.

The SLP will assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders, document findings, and adhere to ASHA guidelines. Requires active state licensure, current BLS/CPR, and at least 6 months of SLP experience in the last five years.

Qualifications

• Active state license as a speech-language pathologist is required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
• At least 6 months of SLP experience within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Recognize indications and contradictions to treatment, modify treatment programs, and be familiar with normal and abnormal patient responses.
• Instruct patient/family as needed, adapt conventional speech therapy techniques to meet the needs of the patients.
• Document concisely, accurately, and legibly all appropriate charting and paperwork.
• Follow ASHA guidelines for ethical and high-quality job performance.
