Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Portland, OR. The role requires ASHA-SLP certification, BLS, and a state license, with 6 months of experience at minimum.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders, developing individualized therapy plans, and coordinating with families and medical professionals. Travel perks and weekly pay are provided.

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Portland, OR. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As an SLP, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.

Requirements

Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
