Description

American Traveler seeks a Speech Therapist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of adult acute care experience and proficiency in conducting MBSS.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a multi-facility network
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Weekend rotation required, likely every third Saturday and Sunday
• Float between two hospital campuses within the network as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care with adult patients (1 year considered if internship was completed in acute care)
• Must be proficient in conducting Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS)
• Active, unrestricted Speech-Language Pathology license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Cerner and/or EPIC EMR experience must be documented in employment history
• Clinical work history required with all employment gaps of one month or longer documented and explained
• Recent experience in the specialty within the last three months required
• Two supervisor references required, one from the past year and one from the past two years
• Skills checklist specific to the position completed within the past year required

Additional Information

• Conduct swallow studies and provide speech therapy services to adult patients in an acute care setting
• No RTO permitted during holiday weeks, though other dates may be considered
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will be automatically declined
• Candidates with any prior licensure action will not be considered
• Local candidates accepted with rates matching travel rates and no radius restriction
