Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech-Language Pathologist for a travel job in Fargo, North Dakota. The SLP will assist patients with speech, language, and swallowing impairments in the acute care setting and develop personalized care plans.

The role requires 6 months to 1 year of experience, BLS, and ASHA-SLP national certification with state licensing. Duties include evaluation, plan development, documentation, and family education, with a 13-week assignment at 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months to 1 year of experience as an SLP.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to meet individualized needs.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, including family, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted.
