TotalMed Allied in Cortez, CO is seeking a travel Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience, or 6 months for exceptional candidates, BLS and ASHA-SLP certification with state licensing.

New grads encouraged. You will diagnose and treat communication and swallowing disorders, educate patients and families, and document progress according to guidelines.

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel job in Cortez, Colorado.

We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Cortez, CO. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.

Tasks

As an SLP, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.

Requirements

Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.

Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
